📅 We meet every Tuesday — 6:30 pm for 7 pm at Panthers Glenbrook, 1 Hare St, Glenbrook NSW 2773. Meals available at the bistro.
 
Who we are

The Rotary Club of Lower Blue Mountains has over 55 years of community service behind us. Our members come from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures, all committed to creating thriving communities — locally, nationally and across the globe.

Cockatoo Island -  fun day
Wednesday 28th October     Cockatoo Island Visit
 
On Wednesday,  it was a beautiful day for our social outing  to Cockatoo Island for 22 Rotarians and friends. There was plenty of time to enjoy a coffee and a look around the island before an organised tour for those who wanted to go.  About half the attendees were enthralled by the very good tour leader who showed us around the old shipyards with excellent pictures and descriptions of how things used to be  until 1991!  After an enjoyable lunch,  we made our way home again by ferry and train.   Thank you to Mick and Sue Parnell for organising this outing.  
 
            
 
Rotary Recycles Spring Sale

Rotary Recycles Annual Spring Sale was held on Sunday October 25.  In short, it was an outstanding success both financially and the high interaction with the community.

We were blessed with a sunny day.  The customers were out early to get that special bargain.

In fact for the first couple of hours we had to have 3 people at the point of sale to keep up with the queue.

A big thankyou to all who helped on the day and in so many ways behind the scenes.
 
        
Movie Fundraiser for End Polio Now campaign 
Sunday 25th October     Charity Movie Night - Sense and Sensibility - Glenbrook Cinema
76 Rotarians, family and friends enjoyed the Charity Movie Night at Glenbrook Cinema to benefit End Polio Now.
The attendees enjoyed food, drinks and a raffle before viewing the enjoyable movie.
Final figures are not yet in, but a great amount was raised to assist in ending Polio in the world.
Thank you to all the people who assisted with the night, particularly to Leigh, Amanda, Drew, Carolyn, Irene and Bobby. Many others helped the night to run smoothly. Your assistance with raffle prizes, food and the setup and clean up is greatly appreciated.
 
                   
 
Paul Harris Fellow Recognition  Oct 26
The board and members of the Rotary Club of Lower Blue Mountains were honored to present two Paul Harris Fellowships to two outstanding recipients.
 
Leigh Johnson was presented a Paul Harris Fellowship with three Saphires for her ongoing commitment to organising and undertaking the catering at many of our Rotary events and the time and effort she puts into preparing and making a wonderful range of yummy assortments, cakes, slices, sandwiches and desserts.
 
Aaron Tyson from @ Print in Penrith was recognised with a Paul Harris Fellowship for his ongoing sponsorship and close liaison with our Rotary Club. 
 
We are honored to have such amazing people both within and associated with our club.
